From first steps to future stars, dancers of all ages shine at The Pointe! We offer dance lessons for children as young as 1 year old all the way up to advanced dance classes. Styles include ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap, contemporary, musical theatre, acro and tumbling. The Pointe also has many offerings for busy families such as fun Holiday Camps, March Break Camps and Summer Camps and we do our best to make our schedule convenient for siblings and friends to dance together. More ambitious dancers can find a home in our Competitive Dance Team program which is focused on our studio values of friendship, artistry, perseverance and performance. JOanne Camilleri is a 2024 nominee for the Walter Carsen Prize for Excellence in the Performing Arts and has been a respected instructor in belly dance for over 25 years. As the founder and artistic director of the former Vivace Studios, and now JOanneDancer, she has cultivated a welcoming and inspiring dance environment where students feel a sense of belonging, growth, and joy in learning. Her classes are both nurturing and challenging, encouraging students to listen to their bodies, honour their inner wisdom, and unlock their full potential. JOanne’s legacy lies in her dedication to training technically strong dancers who also embrace their unique artistry—an enduring hallmark of her teaching philosophy.

Charb Arts Studios is a welcoming and inclusive dance studio in Toronto’s west end, offering recreational and competitive dance programs for children, teens and adults. Our classes include ballet, jazz, tap, acro, contemporary and hip hop, along with early-years programs for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Dancers seeking additional training and performance opportunities can join our part-time or full-time competitive dance companies.
