The Etobicoke Civic Centre Art Gallery has been showcasing visual arts in Etobicoke (Toronto) since 1976. While local arts groups and national exhibitions have always been a mainstay, the gallery has also brought the world of art to the community. The gallery has presented international shows featuring works from artists around the globe, including Korea, Hungary, China, Japan, and Latin America. There are approximately ten exhibitions every year. The Gallery is operated by Toronto Arts & Cultural Services, with direction and support from the volunteer Etobicoke Civic Centre Art Gallery Committee.

Neilson Park Creative Centre (NPCC) was established in 1992 to provide a permanent home for Resident Groups, artists, creators, supporters - wherever within that span individuals feel most at home. With studio, gallery and administrative spaces, NPCC continues to respond to the needs of its members and supporters on the western edge of Toronto.

Contemporary Art Gallery

Currently, the gallery is a display site for my own painting by appointment. It also functions as a salon where people sit for portraits, receive custom face painting, and I meet with customers about statuary repair. My specialty here is plaster or wood, most often Church statues, though I will also repair those on site. Students have arrived here for private art lessons in drawing and painting. Having a high ceiling, I have also painted murals here, such as the Lion that adorns Runnymede Public school. The space has also hosted groups for seasonal crafts, like sugar skull workshops, sewing lessons and Easter egg dying. I hope to open it soon in a more public way, and display the art of several talented painters I admire.
