For over 65 years Tre Mari Bakery has been a proud member of the Corso Italia community on St. Clair West. We believe that family and friends are most important in life, and we’re proud that our bakery continues to be a place where people love to gather. Our future goals are to continue to provide a welcoming environment filled with fresh products and excellent customer service. We want our customers to enter our store and feel the same way our customers did 65 years ago when Tre Mari was run by our grandparents, Jim and Mary Deleo.

Helder and Jose Costa grew up in the quiet town of Lagoas, Cantanhede, Portugal — a place where life was simple, resources were few, and family meant everything. In their modest home, the comforting scent of freshly baked bread often filled the air. It wasn’t fancy — just honest, homemade food that brought people together. In 1974, chasing the promise of new opportunity, the Costa family made the bold move to Canada. Like many immigrants, they arrived with little more than determination, grit, and a dream for something more. Caldense Bakery was originally founded in 1968, serving Portuguese breads and pastries to a growing community.
