In 1974, chasing the promise of new opportunity, the Costa family made the bold move to Canada. Like many immigrants, they arrived with little more than determination, grit, and a dream for something more. Caldense Bakery was originally founded in 1968, serving Portuguese breads and pastries to a growing community.
