About

A gorgeous sunlit space houses our brand spanking new chocolate factory and cafe boutique. Eat chocolate, participate in a tasting or just come bask in the sun drinking hot chocolate with torched marshmallows. The factory is where the magic of chocolate making happens and where a variety of chocolate experiments are conducted. Visitors can watch and smell the process unfold and sometimes if at the right moment taste chocolate before being released into the world.

Caldense Bakery | Order Online caldensebakery.ca Bakery
Helder and Jose Costa grew up in the quiet town of Lagoas, Cantanhede, Portugal — a place where life was simple, resources were few, and family meant everything. In their modest home, the comforting scent of freshly baked bread often filled the air. It wasn’t fancy — just honest, homemade food that brought people together. In 1974, chasing the promise of new opportunity, the Costa family made the bold move to Canada. Like many immigrants, they arrived with little more than determination, grit, and a dream for something more. Caldense Bakery was originally founded in 1968, serving Portuguese breads and pastries to a growing community.
